Meet Dr. Lutgen
Dr. Paul J. Lutgen grew up in the Edmonds-Lynnwood area and graduated from King’s High School where he was an avid student-athlete. He attended Washington State University for undergraduate studies and was a member of the Cougar football team while pursuing a degree in Biology. His dental degree is from the University of Washington. He is the recipient of multiple awards including the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society Kramer Award of Excellence.
While in dental school, Dr. Lutgen discovered his passion for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed residency training at a busy Level I Trauma Center in Fresno, California, an affiliate campus of the University of California San Francisco Medical Education Program. His training was broad and included extensive dentoalveolar, implant, bone graft, and adult and pediatric intra-venous sedation. He also has experience in orthognathic jaw surgery and reconstructive surgery for dento-facial skeletal deformities.
Dr. Lutgen’s practice is committed to the delivery of safe, quality, patient-centered care, and continued education to promote the very best outcomes for our patients.
Outside of work Dr. Lutgen enjoys golfing, cycling, hiking, water and snow skiing, reading, playing piano, and attending sporting events. He has participated in ChelanMan triathlons and the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic.
